Here at The Klinik, we are pleased to offer a full range of yoga classes designed to make the benefits of yoga available to everybody, whatever age, level of fitness or practice. An ancient discipline of physical exercise and breathing techniques, yoga involves performing a range of postures (movements) under the direction of a fully qualified instructor (Yogi).

Although beneficial effects can often be felt after just one or two sessions, regular yoga practice is recognised to benefit both mind and body by promoting both physical and mental well-being.

Yoga for everybody

Yoga holds the unique benefit of being a holistic fitness discipline which can be followed by any age group: to support training for sports and fitness goals or to help promote recovery and wellness. Any of the different forms of yoga can be modified to individualise the practice to suit any person’s additional requirements, such as specific health conditions or pregnancy. As such, regular yoga practice can offer everybody the benefits of:

  • Improved strength and stamina
  • Increased flexibility, posture and ease of movement
  • Injury recovery and prevention
  • Pain relief
  • The relief of symptoms of common ailments, such as stress and depression, high blood pressure and joint-related conditions such as osteoarthritis
  • Improved mood and emotional resilience

The British Wheel of Yoga

All of The Klinik’s yoga instructors are qualified through the British Wheel of Yoga, the UK’s largest professional yoga membership organisation. Their two year study of the anatomy, physiology and philosophy behind the physical practice of postures and the broad range of breathing and meditation techniques which support yoga as a holistic discipline, means that The Klinik offers professional Yogi with an in-depth knowledge of the practice and teaching of yoga.

Classes at The Klinik

As well as the services of dedicated yoga teachers, The Klinik offers a superb boutique studio for classes. With a maximum of 6 participants in each class, each session offers personal class support for your yoga practice, without the personal trainer price-tag.
